Let Polish film editors help you out.

Internet has revolutionized how we access news and communicate with the loved ones as well as how we work. The possibility of remote working and increase in outsourcing is a major issue for many companies. It is especially important for small and medium enterprises, for whom even the slightest improvement and cost reduction can have a major impact on their market position.

Film industry and remote work

COVID-19 pandemic has sped up implementation of remote working I many advertising agencies. Today it became a regular occurrence. It is clear that not every task within film or small video production can be outsourced but postproduction work (montage, sound effects or video correction) is more and more often externally sourced. It no longer matters where the job is done. The only thing that is vital is the quality of it.

Remote working opened up possibilities to work with the best specialists and optimizing cost structure at the very same time. More and more specialist own their own equipment or are able to rent any if needed. The market is constantly evolving so missing an opportunity can cost you an upper hand in business.

Film agencies are able to expand their flexibility and cut costs thanks to outsourcing services and remote work. With them in place they can focus on their specialty without having to engage in post-production work. That, in turn speeds up wrapping up projects and gives those companies economical advantage.

Polish film industry

Polish economy has been steadily growing. It has also very much shown resistance to crisis. What seems to be a remedy is innovative economy and high level of employment in all of the industries. Over 40% of young (25-35) Polish workers are university graduates what gives us a top position within Central European countries.

Every year over few thousand future film specialist graduate from two biggest Polish film schools (Łódź and Katowice) as well as from many private educational centers, with prestigious Wajda School taking the lead. They learn every aspect of the job, from directing to operating and editing.

Film industry in Poland is a very competitive one what makes it open to innovation. We can observe increase in investing in knowledge and technology. In 2020 91 various works have been developed in Poland, including 52 international ones, in which outsourcing has been used. Our artists cooperated mostly with companies from Great Britain, USA, Germany and France.

During their lifelong cooperation, most specialist have been recognized for they high quality and creative work. Quite a few of them have been also awarded some at some of the most important festivals.

“Ida” (2014) directed by Paweł Pawlikowski has been awarded an Oscar for The Best Foreign Language Film. It is a history of a young nun who discovers that her parents were Jewish victims of the WWII.

Is outsourcing in Poland profitable?

The sole cost of work is one of the reasons. Said costs are still at the very low level in comparison with the rest of Europe. In 2021an hourly rate for a mid-level employee in European Union oscillated at about 29,1 EUR. In the Eurozone – roughly 33 EUR. In Poland however, it was only 11,5 EUR. In comparison – hourly rate in Denmark – 46,9 EUR, Luxemburg – 43 EUR, Belgium – 43,3 EUR, France – 38 EUR and Germany – 37 EUR.

Such extensive differences make Eastern Europe a perfect outsourcing place. It allows for cutting costs without having to compromise on quality. Various companies with different business models decided to outsource in Poland. Most of them operate within IT industry. Google and Microsoft are being followed by smaller companies, wanting to take advantage of young Polish specialists’ skills. More and more enterprises from creative industry are following suit.

The most important advantages of outsourcing in Poland:

  1. Cost of work. As previously mentioned hourly rate is one of the lowest in Europe what allows for cost reduction.
  2. Highly qualified specialist. Most of them fluent in English. Poland is a home for many universities that provide exquisite level of education.
  3. Political stability. Since 1989 Poland has been enjoying democracy and political stability what in turn ensures safe business.
